Nursing Ethics & Jurisprudence
This combined 6 hour course provides the professional nurse with education and guidance in the areas of nursing ethics and jurisprudence. Topics include the role and function of the Texas Board of Nursing, Nurse Practice Act, Standards of Nursing Practice, Professional Conduct, Scope and Practice of the RN and LVN, Peer Review and Safe Harbor, Multi-state Compact, and Investigatory and Disciplinary Process. Additionally, ethical principles are explored relating to professional nursing practice, ethical decision making, moral principles, confidentiality, and impaired nursing.

This course is provided virtually via Zoom. The class is synchronous (real-time). You will need to be logged in on the date/time the course is listed.

The above course meets Texas Board of Nursing stipulations for remedial education.
